NEVER MIND THE KID ... WHAT IS THE BRIDE WEARING?

The ring bearer faints and is lying at this bride's feet with his legs twitching  as if he was convulsing ..... this Bride-zilla ....... nor the clueless looking groom ........ doesn't even so much as flinch. Her (their) only acknowledgement is lowering her eyes to the floor as you see in the pic.

The news agencies picking up on this story mention the bride's disgusted look at the poor kid sprawled on the floor, who was inquiring if the rings are okay. Never mind HER disgusted look, what about mine while thinking, "What is this chick wearing?" . Talk about discount bridal and that head piece .....  is that not from the Michael's bridal aisle meant for a flower girl? ..... What gave it away? ...... it doesn't even fit her head let alone this CENTURY! And her hair .... Honeeeey .... did you just get out of the shower and didn't give yourself ample time to at least blow dry!

Oooooooooo ... well ...  what should one expect when you get married in a venue where plastic plants went to die .... liturally ...........   this bride has more ribbing to come I'm sure !!!!!!

IT IS AWARDS SEASON AFTER ALL .........

I love an award show and here we are in the midst of when most of them take place. I think I shall start an award of my own this week!  There are accolades to be given so let me introduce "THE MOST OBNOXIOUS  AWARD" .  This week we have a true "winner" who deserves every measure of our disgust. Let me introduce Mr. Jooooooe Riccccckey Huddddley. Hold your applause folks, this guy deserves none!

Hudley, age 60, up until a few days ago would have probably retired as the President of an airplane parts manufacturer with a large pension. Now, not only is he unemployed but he is charged in Federal court with simple assault .... on a toddler!  Yes this is THAT guy.

If you have not heard of incident ..... Mr. Hudley boarded a plane to Atlanta ..... and sat coach? What president of a Company sits coach? ...... next to a Caucasian women with her adopted 19-month old bi-racial child.  Apparently, that bother Mr. Hudley from the beginning as he was reported to be complaining that the child was "too big" to be seated on her lap  .... could be I've seen some big 2 yr olds ...... Throughout the flight he visual appeared to be somewhat intoxicated and became more belligerent to where the mother was feeling uncomfortable as it was. After having to put up with him for the nearly 2 hour flight finally, the plane started the descent to land. However, the toddler started to cry due to what the mother assumed to be painful ear pressure from the attitude change. As she tried to comfort and quite him,  Hudley reeking of alcohol told her to shut that (N-word) baby up! The surprised mother look at him and said, "What did you say?" The drunken Hudley literally fell on to her face as he said in her ear the offensive sentence again. She pushed him away and started to call for assistance and at some point during the shuffle Hudley then slapped her crying toddler so hard to where the boy's face was bleeding. Passengers came to her rescue.

What has Joe Rickey Hudley done since then ....... besides losing his cushy job?  ....... Well, he has not been offering any apologies. Instead, he has his lawyer spouting off that he will be pleading "not guilty" as "things are not as they are reported" and "no one should rush to judgement". Hmmmmmm ..... tooo bad there are witnesses JOE.

'CATCHING' UP WITH MY URBAN DICTIONARY

Manti Te'o ?????  OK!!!  ..... found it was a movie title where the plot line is a guy who has an online relationship with a woman in another state, who turns out not to be the person she said she was. Like allllll online relationships!  ....... Ohhhhhhh, poooooooor poooooor little Manti! What a tragedy  .... what a cruelty .... what a ...... Waaaaaaait a minute ...... 

Grown man, STAR football player probably with cheerleaders probably hangin' off every arm,  falls for a girl on the internet and continues a relationship  ..... "Love of his life" style ..... with her ONLINE and never ever meets her, never went to see her when she was in the "car accident" ..... although I don't know when this happen ..... never jetted in to see her during her "fight" with Leukemia ..... played a football game the day she "died" never hopped the other  jet to go to her funeral ... grave site ..... or What? didn't he even try to send flowers?  ....... Now he is claiming hoax victim?!!!??!?

I hear there is new word being added to the Urban Dictionary this week ...... "Te'oing" ...... its where you photo yourself in a pose with a picture of your imaginary "miles between us" love of your life and show it around with a frowny face and heavy heart ...... sighs included!

I heard a curious thing today about the 5,000 year old Mayan calendar that caused such a ruckus the last few years. The Mayans did not have Leap years. So that means:

 5,000 years / 4 Leap year cycles = 1,250 days.

1,250 days / 365 average year = 3 years, 155 days

Counting back comes to July 20th, 2009 as the actual date of doom.  

We are still here.

Reminiscences of an Old Crabby Broad

I’m going to go out on a limb …. tempting  fate …. Whatever …. I’m gonna predict we are all going to be here tomorrow and probably the next day and the day after that and after that and after that …….. 

In my lifetime I have now lived through 5 or 6 dooms days ……..  Let’s see ….

The first was when I was about 12 and my neighbor said she heard from some psychic there was going to be a Zombie apocalypse in 1977 …. We would all be eaten alive in a “Night of the Living Dead” scenario.

Then there was the Nostradamus 1984 prediction that a worldwide nuclear war would annihilate human kind  but …. Oooops ....... it was interpreted incorrectly! The interpreters meant to say 1997. Only the Heaven’s Gate cult took them seriously this time. We know how that went. 

Let’s not forget the Y2K …. Not sure what was going to happen to us then …. Was it our own machines would destroy us because 2000 = "kill humans" in binary code?

Then there was the far-right Christian preacher Wacko ...... they let on the radio ..... who insisted about a year ago that the Book of Revelations prophesied the end. I'm guessing his loving, compassionate, merciful God was going to punish innocent people just to get the evil doers. 

Right now as I type the planets are aligning causing a magnetic shift to the earth's axis where tsunamis will rise, mega-super volcanoes fill with lava ready to explode, earthquake faults shifting, the sun flaring   ……………………………………………………….........….  NOPE  …..  still here!

Reminiscences of an Old Crabby Broad

Finally the Holiday Season is define!  For the past month I have been driving by Halloween Ghosts blowing in the wind while hanging off the lower tree limbs next to a waving plastic Santa Claus blow-up sharing the same yard space.

I have "younger" neighbors that faithfully on November 1st  throw out the stuffed scarecrow from Michael's with their cornstalks and pumpkins and hang the artificial pine wreath and the red and green twinkle lights. Can't say I blame their "what holiday season is it?" confusion solely on them. Retail stores were doing the same thing!

I remember a time when you never ever ever never saw so much as a Christmas bulb till the day after Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving season ..... a fall Harvest season holiday ..... has somehow now become .... or shall I say .....  blended with Christmas.  Unfortunately Christmas ... and the shopping of .... is slowly being forced on us earlier and earlier each year. Stores that formally closed on Thanksgiving, giving their employees a holiday off .... unpaid I'm sure  ..... and not having them worry about "requesting off" to spend the day with family. It was sickening to see alll the stores that opened virtually during dinner .... THE WHOLE FOCUS ......  of the holiday and enticed those weak individuals to shop. Was that couple $$$ they "saved" actually worth giving up their holiday allll to satisfy the greed of some CEO retailer looking for their next Million dollar bonus in January ?

I stayed home. Oh, I'll shop for Christmas ..... I have a WHOLE MONTH!!! .... and I'll spend the same amount of money and on the same amount of people I planned on from the beginning. For now, me and my "older" neighbors will be decorating our houses now that it is after Thanksgiving ....... like we remember.

In a London hotel 'GITTIN' SOME' from his wife ..... SSSSSERIOUSLY ???? I don't feel sorry for you. You were there probably on your Country's dime, expected to medal in a once in lifetime international stage and you can't keep it in your pants for 2 weeks ???? GO HOME .... you are now officially a loser on the international stage ..... AND I've been to Nevis/ ST Kitts it  ain't all that ..... now you have to stay there and git all you want 'cause now you have the time.

RYAN LOCHTE PEES IN POOL - Sigh ..... AND tell me which one of them hasn't that might be the bigger news .... You wait 4 years to write reports from the Summer Olympics. This is your lead story? .... good luck on your writing career !

THE DRAMA BEGINS ......

aHHHHH ..... the Olympics begin this weekend ....... Of course when I say drama, I don't mean the nail bitter moments before Michael Phelps is 1/100th of a second in front of the competition for his 700th Gold Medal. I'm talking the catty stuff, the diva attitude, national embarrassment .... i.e.,CHINA having the "pretty" girl lipsync the "homely" girl's song in the opening ceremonies .....  poor sportsmanship comments,  the expected winners losing, Doping and cheating, ..... suspected underage gymnasts. Who was that again ..hmmm ... oh yea CHINA ....  unexpected triumphs and tragedy .... there is always that one guy that misses the bus to the arena. You waited 4 yrs for this chance and YOU MISS THE BUS!!! ....

Of course,  the drama began before the games. All over these opening ceremony uniforms by Ralph Lauren.  eeeegh ... they're okay but what the hell is up with that skirt???? Ralph even I can tell there is something wrong with the proportions!!! Sheeeesh .... I thought you were a designer with an eye .... Then we have Berets ... berets???? .... what is American about a Beret????  There were better choices out here Ralph ... a designer baseball cap would have been better. Yes Ralph,  baseball,  you know .... it is what some of your millionaire clients do for a living. It's America's sport .... well no it isn't probably football is but I digress ......  Just to top off allllll the wrong ...... Ralph tries to save a buck and has them made in CHINA!!!!!  Well .....  maybe that explains the ill-fitted skirt ......

 It was just a few weeks ago I wished Ernest "Happy Birthday" !!! Now he is gone .... along with Andy. During my childhood they both had 2 of my favorite TV shows.  Don't know why Ernie never came back to TV. He was well liked as I remember. Andy did a few other shows. Never as good in my opinion so I never watched either. Hubby and I will still watch "The Andy Griffith Show"  on TV Land .... it IS after all a top TV classic. Will never get tired of it.

They say .... who is the "they" that say this by the way? .... death always comes in threes .... I don't want to guess who is next BUT I will say this for the first two of the trio they lived an extraordinarily good long loved life. Peace guys.

Her parents claim it was sunburn. We shall see .......

But apparently, since Patricia was receiving all this attention she thought it best to also add a spray tan to that "healthy glow"  .... her words ... for the all the camera interviews she felt she needed to give to plead her case to the general public for sympathy??? .... stardom??? ..... the ethical treatment of microwaving ???

SIGH ........ After spending $520 on a hair cut .... or 2 as the stylist tells it  .... or 15 as Nadya imagines tells it ... AND borrowing $450K last year  .... how much was this house?  ..... to buy the current home for her "children" ...... tomorrow the Octomom house will be on the auction block. Yet, the CYS in California that visited her again this week claim "the children are in no imminent danger".  

Oh the guy who lent her the $450k to purchase the house?  ... he is suing her for it?  Surprise!

IT SHOULD BE ABOUT IGNORING COMMON SENSE

I have been wanting to rant about the Zimmerman case for the last few weeks since I heard the about the story on my AM news. This new video just gave me the incentive. My planned rant was going to include my total skepticism to the Zimmerman version of the incident. I mean come on, the whole accounting does not add up to “self-defense”!

First, it was around 9 PM on a Sunday night. What self-respecting criminal is looking for a heist at that time of night? Zimmerman …. the self-appointed head of neighborhood watch …… was getting ready to go grocery shopping. Many of his neighbors are awake to make 911 calls because all that screaming for help was disturbing their listening to the court room drama on “Desperate Housewives”.

So Georgie sees a baaad person walking around outside. He calls 911. Have you heard this call? Georgie says the suspicious person has “something wrong with him”! He could tell that all the way from inside his house because he took some criminal classes! Although, Georgie sounds like he had a few of something himself …….. hmmm has to get to the grocery store at 9PM!

He then goes outside while on the phone with the dispatchers to chase the kid ……. and he knows it is a kid because he tells the dispatcher he is a teen ………… and they tell him not to. He is still outside when the call ends and he wants the police to call him when they get to the gated community entrance. Why? You were a good citizen. You made your call. NORMAL people let the police handle it. That wasn’t good enough for a wanna-be-cop hero and able to catch a criminal before he hits the PUBLIX snack aisle Georgie. Already packin’ his pistol for the grocery store he gets in his car and hunts an unarmed kid down.

As Georgie tells it he was fearing for his life because the teenager half his size that he chased down to "corner" for the police was beating the crap out of him. Really???? Even if he was, you couldn't run to a neighbor ..... get back in your car ..... sit on him .... the only answer was shoot him? Now did that make sense? Oh and by the way Georgie that’s not what the new video shows either. There wasn’t a guy beaten to even half a pulp on that video.

What does make sense is Florida police screwed this one up. Let us hope for the sake of our justice system the Feds have a little more common sense from here on out.

FEMALE FIREFIGHTERS FIGHTING FIRE ... uuuuh ... Wait a minute?!?

Did you see this? (click) When I first saw this .... the forward thinker that I am .... I thought "What is the big deal? SO, the ladies had to come from some wedding to put out the car fire!" Not quite. Those are male firefighters who jump off their fundraising float ..... not sure how that works dressing in drag to raise money ....... in a parade to put this fire out.

This reminded me of a riddle I heard as a kid in the '70's ... I saw it later in an "All In the Family" episode too ..... I was hangin' at the community pool when this annoying younger kid I usually avoided came up to tell me this riddle:

• A man and his son are driving home from a basketball game,when they have a terrible accident.The man is taken to the emergency room for treatment and the boy is taken straight to the operating table. The surgeon comes over to the operating table, sees the boy and says,"I can't operate on this patient, he's my son!" Who is the doctor?

I gave her that tiresome look like I always gave her .... in my head I was saying what kind of riddle is this you weirdo ........... and blurted out: "It's his mother!". To her surprise I knew the answer.

Why wasn't I suppose to know the answer? Did I mention it was the '70's? This riddle stumped many many many people then because no one could imagine or even dare think women could be surgeons ....... ladies things have changed for the better some what! However, now I see men in drag and think they are women just doing their job.

THE VOTE FOR BETTER AMERICA -2012

Rick Santorum has now focused on one of the country’s most pressing issues as he sees it from his campaign trail. Yes, Americans when Rick is President ….. Gaaaaaag ……. He will save all Americans from the dreaded porn industry because as you know this is what is really bring down the American economy and world opinion of us. Yes Americans, forget that old tired on-going, fiscal draining, brave military killing, hunting down the “destroy America” terrorists war in Afghanistan. Forget about the fact you cannot find a decent paying job, the bank is foreclosing on your home and your kids are strung out on drugs. Rick’s says you do not need free welfare programs or foods stamps or medical assistance …. That’s your problem …. Rick says buck up and deal with it!

The government should not be providing for its citizens!!!!! America’s REAL problem is the fact that your morals are not the same as Rick’s. YES ….. when Rick is President, we will all become Christians with strict moral values and PORN IS OUT!!!! You cannot be watching that stuff on TV or the internet or in a movie or magazine. SO censorship is what the government should really be doing. After all, we should be in church, those slags will have to get off their birth control and have babies as GOD intended, …. Everyone should only be having sex if they are married anyway …… and we shall ship all those Gays off to Samoa because they should not be mixing with us God fearing people. THIS will repair things in America …. wave your flags now! ˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜

And speaking of terrorists is not their war on Americans ….. I’m not a political analyst just an observer ….. based on religious morals? Who is to say whose morals are God’s preferred? RICK?

ANOTHER REASON TO HATE (and not shop at) WALMART !!!

THE GREED OF THIS COMPANY IS UNMEASURABLE!

Today, I was searching some information on my car accident and insurance paying for hospital bills and I came across this story about a little practice of “Balance Billing”:

“One of the more unsettling cases happened in 2007, when Walmart successfully sued an insured employee whose car was hit by a semi-truck, leaving her with brain damage and permanently in a wheelchair. According to an article in the Wall Street Journal, the woman received a settlement of $417,000, after attorney fees and expenses, which her husband planned to use for her care. But when Walmart sued for recovery of $470,000 it had made in medical payments, a judge ruled for the retailer.
Walmart's health insurance coverage, like many companies, allows the company to recoup the medical expenses it paid if the person receives a settlement in an injury suit. The judge agreed, and the woman and her family lost its settlement.”

The story appeared in major media (click: CNN ) AND I somehow missed this story .... talk about silly and dim as a nightlight ....... as the decision to side with WALMART went all the way to the Supreme Court and greedy, greedy, a scourge on our American society, greedy Walmart won each an every time ....... who is running this company???? I'm not religious but if there is an evil Satan anywhere he has to be the CEO of Walmart.

By the way Walmart made 90 BILLION the year before! 90 BILLION !!!

CAN YOU GUESS WHICH ONE IS ME?

I saw this story today about the FBI reopening a case on a little missing girl named Beth Gill. I looked at the picture of the little girl at 2 years old before she went missing and thought "huh ... that almost looks ......... like ................. me." NO, NO .... its NOT me folks and the years do not match but, my heart stopped for a minute though. The one on the right is me at 2 years old and the one on the left is Beth who the FBI now believes is a victim of a kidnapping.

It gives added thought to the saying 'but for the grace of God it could have been ......'

I remember when I was kid all the many, many little girls gone missing in the '60's. This was before the exposure of pedophiles, high tech-CSI, and the numerous security cameras around. Seeing the return of missing children of late, lets hope Beth finally comes home!
